  • Coordinator: International Yellow Ribbon Suicide Awareness and Prevention Week – observed internationally the 3rd week of Sept.
    • U.S. House Resolution 286 recognizing the Week (9.9.1999)
    • U.S. Senate Concurrent Resolution 119, recognizing the Week (9.14.2004)
    • Governors throughout give proclamations declaring the Prevention Week.
  • Assisted in developing a comprehensive program which is offered worldwide through training seminars, workshops, in-services and presentations. Addressed and worked with over 250,000 youth through presentations, seminars and workshops. 1994 - current
  • 17 years as a medical assistant in private family practice. 1979 - 1996
  • Certified EMT-B 1983 & 1996
  • Health Supervisor, Flying G Ranch – Girl Scout Camp with 150 Campers ages 9 -14 and staff of 50 on a 360 acre ranch / camp where the nearest medial facility was 45 minutes by car / ambulance & 15 minutes by chopper. June – August 1997 & June – August 1998

    From the beginning of Yellow Ribbon, we've received letters and emails from youth, parents, teachers and more telling of the impact of the Yellow Ribbon Card. The times it was used to save a life. Based on the responses sent directly to the International Office, and those of our Chapters around the globe we have conservatively estimated at least 100,000 lives saved.
